Electives are mid-size groups (8-20+) that provide assimilation and the opportunity to explore meaningful and relevant Biblical topics.  Groups meet during both services on Sunday (9:00am and 10:45am). You'll not only grow as a follower of Christ, but you'll build a deeper understanding of relevant real world topics as they relate to the Bible.  Valuable friendships can be easily achieved.  To register contact the church office (330) 882-4416.

Spring Electives Week of March 17 - Week of May 19 (10 weeks):

Philippians with Jeff Shirkman

(College & Career Young Adults)

Sundays 9:00am - Conference Room

Unlock the treasure of the “joy epistle,” which pinpoints the joy-stealers in life and shows why you don’t need to be anxious. Like us, the believers in Philippi needed to understand what it means to be joyful in Christ, no matter what the circumstances may be. God wants us to discover the secret of true joy and contentment by living in His will. Please join us at 9:00 as we study the epistle of Paul to the Philippians and how we can experience that same joy in our lives.

Victory in Spiritual Warfare: Outfitting Yourself for Battle

with Andre Clark

Sundays 10:45am - Conference Room

“Be assured, spiritual warfare is a reality in the life of every believer. When you open the pages of the New Testament, there is no shortage of passages that characterized the Christian as a warrior and the Christian life as a battle. We are called to a grim struggle with unseen forces, and the fight is real.”

Though it is a grim struggle against unseen forces, we have the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Tony Evans will guide us through the How’s and  Why’s of the
victory with topics such as:

    1.   The Battle.
    2.   The Armor Used in the Battle
    3.   The Victory’s in the Battle
    4.  The Victory’s Over the Battle of Strongholds

I encourage you to come and join us as we study these insightful Battle strategies. Why? Because . . .
We are in a SPIRITUAL WAR.
This class is a continuation from the Winter session, however, you can jump in any time.  Everyone is welcome!  You will get sooooooooo much out of this class!

Glorify God Together: A Marriage of Purpose with Janice Tipton

Sunday 10:45am - Utility Room

As Pastor Cary shares from the series, "Glorify - Let's Make God Smile" it is a great time to focus on God's view of marriage.  A marriage centered on Christ is specifically focused on glorifying God.  Sometimes things get sticky and we become discouraged in our relationships.  Let's be encouraged as we look at God's purpose for marriage. In this study, we will ask: Why did God give us the institution of marriage? What is the purpose of marriage? How can our marriage bring glory to God? How can the marriage relationship help make us holy?

Study open to all ladies whether single, engaged, married, divorced or widowed.

Raising Kingdom Kids with Jason and Sarah Cox

Sunday 5:30-7:00pm - Coventry

“Raising Kingdom Kids” by Dr. Tony Evans is a DVD based curriculum which contains practical examples
and illustrations to help parents grow kids' faith, with specific instructions in the power of prayer, wisdom, love of God's Word, getting through trials, controlling the tongue, developing patience, and the surrender of service.  Children are welcome.  Class limited to 12 adults.

Fierce Love: What To Do With The Big Emotions of Motherhood

with Ashlea Humphreys and Stephanie Strader

Thursday 6:30-8:00pm - Room 3

Am I Just A Mom?  Sooner or later, every mother will stop and ask herself, “Is this all I am?”  God has instilled motherhood with meaning and purpose as part of His greater plan for humanity. Whether or not a woman has
been called to traditional motherhood, she demonstrates her nurturing gifts daily through caregiving, hospitality, discipleship, teaching, raising children, and serving others. Moms, please join us for this session as Gloria Furman looks to Scripture for evidence of God’s mission for motherhood and His greater purpose for each and every woman.

  • Expand your understanding of motherhood based on Scripture and God’s plan
  • Recognize that you are not just a mom and that motherhood is meaningful because of who God is
  • Live in God’s purpose for your life
  • Dig deeper into Scripture with a group
  • Allow God to renew your mind about Him, His mission, the gospel, and motherhood
