Spring Elective Descriptions: Part 3

Below you will find two more Electives that are being offered in the Spring. The Spring Semester starts April 12 and ends on May 31. There are 8 sessions in this semester.

The events that took place in Jesus' final week of life...Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, the trial before Pilate, Jesus' death and his resurrection...are foundational to our Christian lives and to our salvation.

Participants in this Elective will be encouraged to study the passages of Scripture around these events. Many of the events in Jesus' final week are familiar to seasoned believers, but you may find it spiritually enriching to study them in order, gaining a bit of perspective from each of the four Gospel writers. You'll end up with a more well-rounded perspective of what God was doing in that week that changed our world.

Phil Bevington, using God's Word and discussion questions, will lead this elective. As you work your way through this study, you will celebrate Jesus' victory and walk away with a deeper appreciation of God's love for you and the people around you. Participant's material cost $5 per person.

We all have conflict. It's usually not the big blow up...but more like the tense conversation around the breakfast table or the difficulties with an angry neighbor, an overbearing boss, or a moody teenager. Or more seriously, maybe you havent' spoken with an extended family member for years. These everyday conflicts build up walls and tear down relationships at home, at work, or anywhere in between. With God's help, this Elective will dramatically change the way you respond to conflict...no matter what the other person does.

Resolving Everyday Conflict is an DVD study that unpacks the truths the Bible reveals about conflict and relationships. Andre Clark will lead this Elective. In it you will find the powerful and practical answers you are looking for when it comes to resolving conflict.

The materials for this Elective cost $10 per participant.
